Legal Agreement & Acceptable Use

Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 13, 2026 • Version 1.0 • ~5 min read
Summary: All diagnostics provided by Global Network Tools are free for legitimate network troubleshooting, educational research, and authorized development. Probing or port-scanning systems you do not own or without explicit written authorization is strictly prohibited.
1

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Global Network Tools, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Global Network Tools ("we", "us", or "our") regarding your access to and use of our network diagnostic suites, APIs, and related web interfaces.

2

Scope of Covered Products & Diagnostic Suites

These Terms apply to all diagnostics, utilities, and services hosted on Global Network Tools, including but not limited to:

🌐 IP & Geolocation Suite

Public IP Address Detection (What Is My IP), ASN/ISP Telemetry, and IP Geolocation Lookup with RIR Registry mapping.

⚡ Website & HTTP Telemetry

HTTP Engine, Response Header Inspector, Redirect Hop Waterfall, and SSL/TLS Certificate Security Auditing.

📶 Network & Connectivity Suite

Internet Speed Test, TCP Port Scanner, and Ping & Latency Telemetry.

🛠️ Developer Utilities (100% Client-Side)

CIDR Subnet Calculator, JSON Formatter & Validator, Base64 Encoder, and Hash & UUID Generator.

3

Permitted Use & User License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, and limited license to access and use Global Network Tools solely for lawful personal, educational, research, and authorized internal IT administration purposes.

You may use our tools to verify your own IP address, diagnose domains and network equipment that you own or operate, or audit client infrastructure where you have received explicit, written permission from the system owner.

4

Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) & Prohibited Conduct

Because Global Network Tools provides active network diagnostic capabilities (such as TCP socket probes, HTTP header analysis, and ping telemetry), strict adherence to ethical standards is required. You expressly agree that you will NOT:

✓ Permitted Diagnostics
  • Testing your own domains, DNS records & servers
  • Checking public DNS propagation across Anycast nodes
  • Measuring connection bandwidth, ping latency & jitter
  • Auditing SPF, DKIM, and DMARC mail deliverability
  • Formatting JSON and hashing cryptographic digests in-browser
✕ Strictly Prohibited
  • Unauthorized network port scanning of third parties
  • Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) or packet flooding attempts
  • Automated scraping, bot crawling, or API abuse
  • Transmitting exploit payloads or malware fuzzing
  • Circumventing rate limits, firewalls, or security filters

5

Nature of Diagnostic Data & Technical Disclaimers

All diagnostic results, telemetry, and metrics provided by Global Network Tools are strictly advisory and informational:

  • IP Geolocation & ISP Telemetry: Geographic coordinates, metropolitan area, country, and ISP data are derived from regional registry allocations (ARIN, RIPE, APNIC, LACNIC, AFRINIC) and third-party GeoIP tables. Geolocation represents approximate network routing nodes or ISP gateway centers, not exact physical street addresses.
  • DNS Propagation & Record Lookups: DNS propagation queries reflect real-time responses from recursive Anycast nodes (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, Alibaba). Because worldwide ISPs maintain varying TTL cache retention policies, records may resolve differently across end-user networks.
  • Website & HTTP Engine Telemetry: HTTP probes evaluate headers, status codes, and SSL certificates from our server perspective. Geographic CDN routing, WAF rules, or rate limits may cause responses to differ from your local client environment.
  • Internet Speed Test: Measured bandwidth, latency, and jitter are subject to local Wi-Fi interference, home router hardware, browser execution overhead, and transient ISP peering conditions.
  • TCP Port Scanning: Intermediate stateful firewalls, cloud security groups, and ISP port filters may drop SYN packets without responding, reporting a port as "filtered" or "closed" even if a service is listening behind NAT.

6

Disclaimer of Warranties ("As Is")

Global Network Tools is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied. To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uptime availability, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that our diagnostic services will be uninterrupted, error-free, immune to latency, or 100% accurate under all possible global routing and BGP scenarios. You assume all operational risk associated with any technical decisions made based on diagnostic data.

7

Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall Global Network Tools, its owners, operators, affiliates, or licensors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, network downtime, server misconfigurations, or business interruption) arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, our diagnostic tools.

8

Fair Use, Rate Limiting & Access Throttling

To ensure high availability and prevent resource exhaustion, Global Network Tools implements dynamic rate limiting across all diagnostic endpoints. Automated requests that exceed fair-use thresholds will receive an HTTP 429 ("Too Many Requests") status code.

High-volume automated scripts, distributed scrapers, or abusive probing will result in automatic, permanent, or temporary IP-level firewall blocks.

9

Intellectual Property & Trademarks

The visual interface, brand identity, logo assets, CSS stylesheets, client-side algorithms, documentation, and page designs of Global Network Tools are protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws. You may not duplicate, mirror, frame, reverse-engineer, or repackage these tools as a competing commercial service without prior written authorization.

10

Third-Party Services, Maps & External Content

Our services utilize third-party map tiles (such as OpenStreetMap and CARTO) and query public Anycast DNS infrastructure (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, Alibaba). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, external privacy practices, or registry downtime.

11

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Global Network Tools, its operators, affiliates, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or resulting from your violation of these Terms, unauthorized scanning of third-party networks, or unlawful use of our diagnostic tools.

12

Modifications, Governing Law & Severability

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page. Your continued use of Global Network Tools following any revision constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be severable without affecting the enforceability of the remaining provisions.
