We Do Not Store Any User Data on Our Servers

Your searches, queries, IP addresses, and inputs are never written to any database, log file, or persistent storage on our servers. Every request is processed ephemerally in server memory and discarded the moment the response is returned to your browser. No user profile is created, no history is retained, and no data is shared with third parties.

1

Overview & Privacy by Design Commitment

At Global Network Tools, we respect your right to privacy. Privacy is not an afterthought—it is the foundational architectural pillar of our platform. We recognize that our users—ranging from network engineers, developers, and DevOps teams to everyday privacy-conscious individuals—rely on our services to diagnose sensitive infrastructure, test VPN connectivity, audit domain records, and inspect network telemetry.

🚫 We do not store any user data on our servers. All tool inputs—including IP addresses, domain names, URLs, and query parameters—are processed transiently in server memory and immediately discarded after the response is delivered. No user account, history, or identifier is ever persisted to a database.

This Privacy Policy outlines how Global Network Tools handles, processes, and protects information when you access our website, use our network tools, or interface with our endpoints. We operate under strict principles of data minimization and ephemeral in-memory processing: we do not build behavioral user profiles, and we do not sell your personal data or query inputs.

Information We Process & Product-Specific Disclosures

Depending on which tools and features you utilize, the nature of data handled varies as detailed below. We do not store web server access logs or record user sessions on our servers:

A. Data Processed Across Our Diagnostic Suites

1. IP & Geolocation Suite (What Is My IP & IP Lookup): When you view your IP address, your connecting IP is read in transient volatile memory, queried against local GeoIP and ASN allocation tables, and rendered back to your browser session. When performing a remote IP or hostname lookup, the query is resolved against public Regional Internet Registry (RIR) databases (ARIN, RIPE, APNIC, LACNIC, AFRINIC). Queries are never tied to individual user accounts or stored in permanent databases.
2. DNS & Email Security Suite (DNS Lookup, Propagation, Health, SPF/DKIM/DMARC): Target domain names entered into DNS tools are dispatched live to recursive DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) providers (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, Alibaba) and authoritative nameservers. Results are streamed back to your screen and discarded. Email security checks evaluate publicly published TXT DNS records; we never access, inspect, or store private mailbox contents, emails, or credentials.
3. Website & HTTP Telemetry Suite (HTTP Engine): When an inspection probe is launched against a URL, our server initiates an outbound HTTP/HTTPS request to capture response headers, redirect hops, server banners, and SSL/TLS certificate parameters. The HTML body of the target URL is not indexed, crawled, or retained.
4. Network & Connectivity Suite (Speed Test, Port Checker, Ping Test): Bandwidth speed tests stream pseudo-random binary memory chunks over HTTP/WebSocket sockets to compute throughput and jitter; these chunks contain no personal data and are discarded immediately upon socket closure. TCP port scans initiate non-destructive socket handshakes; targets probed are not compiled into target lists.

B. 100% Client-Side Utilities (Zero Server Transmission)

Our developer utilities—including the CIDR Subnet Calculator, JSON Formatter & Validator, Base64 & URL Encoder, and Hash & UUID Generator—execute 100% locally inside your web browser using client-side JavaScript and the native Web Cryptography API.

Zero payload data, confidential JSON objects, private tokens, or cryptographic hashes ever leave your device's memory. You can safely format proprietary payloads or compute SHA-256 hashes knowing they are never transmitted across the network.

3

How We Use Information & Legal Basis

We process information strictly on the following legal bases:

  • Fulfilling Diagnostic Requests (Performance of Contract / Consent): Delivering live IP lookups, DNS record resolution, speed tests, and HTTP status codes in real time.
  • Infrastructure Security & Abuse Prevention (Legitimate Interests): Protecting server resources against malicious automated attacks, volumetric DDoS, and automated scraping.
  • System Reliability (Legitimate Interests): Debugging internal network errors, monitoring server uptime, and improving tool responsiveness.

We do NOT use automated profiling, machine learning behavioral tracking, or cross-site tracking to monetize your browsing activity.

4

Cookies, Web Storage & Advertising Disclosures

Client-Side Local Storage: We utilize browser localStorage strictly on your local device to preserve user interface preferences (such as dark mode vs. light mode theme) and your local search history or starred queries. This information remains solely on your machine and is never transmitted or synchronized to our servers.
Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Vendors: To support our free diagnostic infrastructure, Global Network Tools may partner with third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense. In accordance with Google's publisher policies:
  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites across the Internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized or contextual advertisements to users based on their navigation and interaction patterns.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies across participating ad networks by visiting AboutAds.info or the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI).
  • To learn more about how Google processes information when you visit partner sites, review How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Consent Management Platform (CMP) & Regional Protections: Where required by applicable data protection laws—including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), UK GDPR, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA)—advertising cookies are governed by a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP). Visitors in applicable jurisdictions can review, customize, or withdraw their consent preferences for advertising cookies and personalized tracking at any time.
Interactive Map Tiles: Interactive map widgets on IP Geolocation Lookup load standard visual tile layers from open map providers (such as OpenStreetMap or CARTO) via direct browser asset requests.

5

Data Retention & Ephemeral Lifecycle Matrix

We maintain transparent, rigorous data retention schedules:

Data Category Purpose Storage Location Retention Period
IP / DNS Tool Queries Generating real-time diagnostic output Volatile RAM only 0 ms (Discarded immediately)
Speed Test Payloads Measuring bandwidth throughput & jitter In-memory socket buffers 0 ms (Terminated on socket close)
Client-Side Utilities (JSON, Hash, CIDR) Client formatting, calculation & encoding Browser sandbox only Never transmitted to servers
UI Preferences (Dark/Light mode) Remembering user visual theme Browser LocalStorage Persistent locally until cleared by user
🚫 User Personal Data Not applicable — never collected Not stored on any server Never — Zero Retention

6

Your Global Privacy Rights

Regardless of your geographical location, we extend comprehensive privacy rights to all users. Because we do not store user data, most data subject requests are satisfied by design — there is simply no personal data held to access, correct, or delete.

🇪🇺 European Economic Area (GDPR)

Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. Because diagnostic queries are ephemeral and we do not maintain user accounts, we do not hold identifiable personal databases. Our lawful basis for the minimal transient processing we perform is legitimate interest (infrastructure security).

🇬🇧 United Kingdom (UK GDPR)

The UK GDPR (retained by the Data Protection Act 2018) mirrors EU GDPR rights for UK residents. You retain all rights under Article 15–22, including the right of erasure and data portability. As no personal data is persistently stored, these rights are effectively pre-satisfied.

🇺🇸 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the Right to Know, the Right to Delete, and the Right to Non-Discrimination. We do not sell or share your personal information as defined by the CCPA. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

🇧🇷 Brazil (LGPD)

Under Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD — Law No. 13,709/2018), Brazilian users have rights of access, correction, anonymization, and deletion. Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, LGPD obligations relating to data subject requests are inherently satisfied.

🌏 India & Asia-Pacific (DPDPA / PDPA)

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA) and Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) grant residents rights over personal data collection and processing. As Global Network Tools does not store personal data or maintain server access logs on any server, no consent-based data processing subject to these frameworks occurs.

7

Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)

Global Network Tools does not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Our network diagnostics are general-audience technical tools. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal data, please contact us so we can immediately purge such data.

8

Security Safeguards & Infrastructure Protections

We take the security of our infrastructure and your connection seriously. The following technical and organizational safeguards are in place:

✅
TLS 1.3 / HTTPS Encryption All browser-to-server traffic is encrypted with modern Transport Layer Security. Plain HTTP connections are automatically redirected to HTTPS.
✅
Rate Limiting & DDoS Protection Automated rate limiting and volumetric DDoS mitigation layers prevent abuse and protect server availability for all users.
✅
Memory Sandboxing Diagnostic queries execute in isolated, ephemeral memory contexts. No query data is written to disk or shared across concurrent sessions.
✅
Zero Server Access Logs We do not store user activity, queries, or IP addresses in web server access logs. All requests are handled ephemerally with zero disk persistence.
✅
Strict Firewall Segmentation Network-level firewall rules restrict inbound and outbound traffic to only necessary ports and protocols. Internal services are not publicly exposed.
✅
No Persistent User Database We maintain no database of user identities, query histories, or personal profiles. There is no user data at rest to breach, exfiltrate, or subpoena.

Third-Party Services, APIs & External Links

To deliver real-time diagnostics, our tools interface with public third-party APIs and data sources. Your query inputs may be forwarded to these services as part of the diagnostic lookup — the same inputs you would manually enter into those services directly:

DNS Resolution Providers: Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 DoH), Google (8.8.8.8 DoH), Quad9, and Alibaba DNS are used for DNS record lookups and propagation checks. These providers have their own privacy policies.
IP & ASN Databases: Public Regional Internet Registry (RIR) databases — ARIN, RIPE NCC, APNIC, LACNIC, and AFRINIC — are queried for IP geolocation and ASN ownership information. These are public registries.
Map Tile Providers: Interactive map widgets use tile layers from OpenStreetMap or CARTO, loaded directly by your browser. Your browser's IP address may be visible to these providers as part of the tile fetch request.
Advertising Networks: Global Network Tools may display ads served by Google AdSense and partner networks. These third parties may use cookies to serve interest-based ads. We have no control over their data practices. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Our website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
